Bowen will be one of many dogs and cats from shelters and animal rescue organizations across the parish available for adoption at the 2018 Livingston Parish Pet Fest, which takes place from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 17, at Tractor Supply in Denham Springs.

Bowen, a 5-year-old, brown-eyed pit bull terrier mix, was found lying in a ditch after apparently being struck by a car before last Christmas. After it was initially feared he wouldn’t survive, Bowen has made a near-full recovery.
