Denham Springs senior Gracie Dawson suffered an injury in cheerleading last year but beat the predicted timeline of her expected comeback and then defeated the competition in the Capital City Strikeout Bowling Tournament that was held Aug. 31-Sept. 1 at All Star Lanes in Baton Rouge.
